On Saturday, July 31, the Jaffrey Women's Club on 33 Main Street in Jaffrey, will have a double feature matinee. The first movie, Bugs Bunny and Friends starts at 12:30 pm, and the second, Three on the Trail, will start at 1:30pm. This event is free, and everyone is welcome! National Night Out
On Tuesday, August 3rd neighborhoods throughout Keene are being invited to join thousands of other communities nationwide for the 27th Annual National Night Out crime and drug prevention event. This is sponsered locally by the Keene Police Department, Target Store, Sean King Rental of Westmoreland and Monadnock Radio Group. The event will start at 5pm, and will run until 9pm outside the Keene Police Department on 400 Marlboro Street!

26th Annual Massachusettes State Championship Chili Cookoff
Looking for a day of Family Fun filled with the Help Wanted Band, a Live DJ, a Petting Zoo, a dunk tank, clowns and more? The Kiwanis of Winchendon, Mass will be hosting the Massachusetts State Chili Cookoff and Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Bentley Field on Grove Street in Winchendon from 11am to 4pm. Other activities include a moon walk, An antique classic car show, Fire and Iron Motorcycle club and Craft and Food Vendors. Admission for adults is $6, and children under 12 are just $1. Target and Keene Police Dept. National Night Out

Amos J Blake House Museum
Come and experience the wonders of childhood with a special, two month long exhibit at the Amos J. Blake House Museum in Fitzwilliam. Your presence is requested for this two month long exhibit, from 1:00-4:00, Saturdays, June and July.
Hidden lollipops can be found by visiting children in some of the sweetest places. This uniquely beautiful former home of the Blake family of Fitzwilliam NH will display unique and wonderful pieces, mostly from private collections. There will be dollhouses from the 1920s as well as handmade accessories for the houses. Tours of the museum are always free.

Salad Supper and Auction
A Salad Supper and Auction will be held on August 7th, 2010 at the Veteran’s Hall at 150 Old Homestead Hwy in Richmond. Dinner will include various salads, rolls and brownies a la mode and will be served from 5 to 6:30 pm. There will be live music by Mike French from 5 to 6pm. The auction will begin at 6pm. 38th Annual Quechee Scottish Festival
Saturday, August 28th is the day for the 38th Annual Scottish Festival at Quechee, Vermont. Sponsored by the Saint Andrew's Society of Vermont, and is very much a true, Scottish tradition and a real family event from 8am to 4:30pm at the Polo Field in Quechee.
There will be live entertainment, music, demonstrations, food, crafts, and much more.
Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for children 5-12, and kids under 5 are free. NO DOGS PLEASE. This event is rain or shine and all proceeds will go to the St. Andrew's Society Scholarship Foundation.

The 2010 Savina Hartwell Memorial Free Concerts will happen every Sunday in July and August from 6:30 to 9pm at the Savina Hartwell Bandstand at Tilton Island Park on Main Street in Tilton New Hampshire.

Free to Breath 5k Run/Walk

Windham County 10th Annual Walk for Animals
The Windham County Humane Society will be holding its 10th Annual Walk for Animals on Saturday, September 25th (rain date Oct 2nd) at the Grafton Village Cheese Company for an 11:00 a.m. walk down Main Street in Brattleboro ( walkers raise thousands of dollars through pledge donations from friends and family).
Please join them after the walk for a BBQ and a Pet Expo. They will have dog training experts, face painting, caricature drawings and much, much more. Please join for a fun, exciting and tremendously rewarding day!

The Kingsbury Cancer Pavilion in Keene will be offering Free Breast & Cervical Cancer Screenings for low income women, ages 18-65 with inadequate health insurance or a high deductible.
Women covered by Medicare or Medicaid are NOT eligible. Examinations will be performed by female health professionals-- and reduced rate mammograms are available to qualified women.
